Should Soda be taxed?

Do you think that by taxing sugar sweetened beverages, aka soda and sugar-added juices, we’ll successfully combat the growth rates of childhood obesity and ultimately save states money in their annual health care costs?

Well, New York is considering following this exact course of action–to the tune of an18% tax per purchase.

Will this new form of soda tax be coming to a store near you soon? Or is this another form of taxation without representation?

    This is a very interesting point, if you change the ability to attain unhealthy beverages then it will make a difference, also in terms of healthcare for obesity.
